Tip: Stress in the Possessive Pronouns
The stress in all forms of the possessive pronouns always falls on the first syllable. The short forms are never stressed, even though “ѝ” is written with a grave accent.
When there are no Adjectives describing the noun which the short possessive pronouns pertain to, then the latter always follow the noun they pertain to. If there are one or more Adjectives which go with the same noun as the short possessive pronouns, then the latter always follow the first of these Adjectives. Since there are is no distinction between definite and indefinite versions for short possessive pronouns, Definiteness is indicated in the same way as if the possessive pronoun were never there.
Example: Short Possessive Pronouns
кръвта ми (my blood), чантата ти (your bag), очите
Tip: Definiteness and Short Possessive Pronouns
Although not strictly necessary, short possessive pronouns are almost always used with definite Nouns, except with a few very common exceptions. In fact, using them with indefinite Nouns is considered rather poetic.
Warning: Exceptions
The words “жена” (wife) and “дъщеря” (daughter) are never used in their definite forms when accompanied by a short possessive pronoun, including reflexive short possessive pronouns, i.e. it is always
жена ми / ти / му / ни / ви / им / си
дъщеря ми / ти / му / ѝ / ни / ви / им / си
